[robocup-small] RoboCup 2018: Roles during the RoboCup

Hi teams,

the RoboCup Soccer Championships can only be a success if everyone
contributes to it. Unlike (other) major sports events, there are no
dedicated referees that watch over the games. Instead, every participating
team will also referee some matches. To guarantee a smooth tournament,
every team must have participants capable of doing the following tasks:

*1. Referee*
The referee is the most important role. It's necessary that the referee
knows the rules very well and is confident in his or her decisions. The
referee is encouraged to confer with the assistant referee whenever the
situation is not obvious.

*2. Assistant Referee*
The assistant referee supports the referee during the game by watching the
game from a different perspective, placing the ball (especially in division
B) and discussing uncertain situations with the referee whenever necessary.

*3. Refbox Operator*
The refbox operator is responsible for forwarding the referee's decisions
to the team's computers. He or she also watches and controls the AutoRef
(automatic referee software) and notifies the referee whenever necessary.

*4. Vision Expert*
The vision expert monitors the quality of the visual recognition of the
ball and the robots on the field. If there are problems with the
calibration (especially the color calibration), he knows how to improve the
calibration in a short amount of time. Because the division A field has 8
cameras, there will be 2 vision experts who work simultaneously.


For every game there are two teams who undertake those roles. One team
supplies the assistant referee and the vision expert and the other team
supplies the referee, the refbox operator and (if it's a division A game)
the second vision expert. A team will never have to supply both parts of
the referee team at the same time. However, you should prepare for both
divisions!

The role assignments will be published on the whiteboard at least 2 hours
before the game starts. Everyone has to be ready 15 minutes before the
start of the game in order to make last minute preparations (get ball
handlers, choose colors and sides, choose keeper id, check vision and
refbox commands, ...).

Since this year is the first year with an active AutoRef, the referee
training session (starting Sunday, June 17 at 3:30 PM) will mainly focus on
how to use the software. This means that we assume that *everyone* has
already read and understood the rules. We won't have the time to cover the
basic rules there. Maybe it's a good idea to read through the rules during
the flight, after you've read the TDPs. It may be a dull reading, but a
good understanding of the rules is essential for a smooth RoboCup. If you
